Lap, ‘Big Red’, was the ultimate people’s horse. He
was a winner 37 times from 51 starts. The year 1930
was Phar Lap’s year, racing 21 times for 19 victories
and two placings. The highlight of Phar Lap’s amazing

In
a moment that no cricket fan will ever forget, Trevor
Chappel nearly caused an International incident. It was of
course the infamous Underarm bowl which occured between
Australia and New Zealand in 1981. This has gone on to
become one of the most talked about sporting events in Aust/NZ
history. Signed by both combatents, bowler, Trevor Chappel
and batsman, Brian McKechnie, this is surely a piece of
history that will never fade from
memory.

Since
bursting onto the scene in 2005 Michael Hussey has swept all
before him. On 8 separate occasions he has surpassed 50 runs
in an innings in Tests. In all bar one of these occasions he
has gone on to make 100. These statistics become even more
compelling when one considers that to date he has played
just 18 Tests and recorded 7 not out's. With almost 2,000
Test runs to his name he has many experts questioning how
close his batting average of 86.18 can get to the great Sir
Donald Bradman's benchmark of 99.94. Only time will
tell......

Few
could have predicted the dominance Australian would exert in
the Test and One-Day International arena in the last 12
months; regaining the Ashes with just the second series
whitewash in the trophy's history en route to a third
straight win at the ICC World Cup. Season 2007-08 against
Sri Lanka, India and New Zealand represents an exciting
period for the Australia team, as it looks to add the next
generation to an all concurring squad to maintain the
country's dominance with bat and ball.

Anil
Kumble "The Perfect 10"
In the history of Test cricket there have only been two bowlers to take all 10 wickets in an innings. The first was Jim Laker of England, who took 10 for 53 against Australia in 1956 at Manchester, with the second being Anil Kumble of India, who took 10 for 74 against Pakistan in 1999 at Delhi. This great moment in Test cricket history has been captured as a limited-edition collectable.
